Who, exactly, is Southwest Dalmatian Rescue??
We are a small group of rescuers in the Phoenix and Tucson areas dedicated to finding knowledgable, loving and permanent homes for Dalmatians with foster homes, medical care, food/water, exercise, and socialization.
If you would like to join us in our love of spots please e-mail or call us and we'll be happy to speak with you about some exciting possibilities! We are looking to expand to other areas of the southwest so if you are in SE California, Arizona, or Las Vegas, NV (or any other area outside Maricopa county in AZ) and would like to help please contact us!

SWDR began as an organization in January of 2006.
SWDR incorporated as a non-profit corporation with the state of Arizona, EIN is 20-4304081.
SWDR is an approved New Hope Partner with the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. We accept both purebred and mixed Dalmatians they would otherwise euthanize.
We also take in dogs from shelters such as Arizona Humane Society, Humane Society of Yuma, Humane Society of Southern Arizona, and other in-state and out-of-state shelters.
We are a no-kill organization.
We depend on volunteer support and financial donations to keep in operation and save as many dogs as possible. As such, we function purely on volunteer help and have no paid employees.
SWDR is a pending 501 (c) 3 non-profit public charity with the IRS.
We have adopted out 61 dogs since we've been in existance. Not the numbers of other rescues, I know, but that's 61 dogs that otherwise would have never had a chance.
